Deputy Speaker of Sierra Leone Parliament Meets with Chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iranian Parliament

On Wednesday 31 July 2024, Honorable Ibrahim Tawa Conteh, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Sierra Leone, held a meeting with Ibrahim Azizi, esteemed Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Sierra Leonean delegation headed by Hon. Ibrahim Tawa Conteh had traveled to Tehran to participate in the 14th presidential inauguration ceremony of I.R. Iran to bear witness to the swearing-in of President-elect, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian. On the sidelines of the inauguration, the delegation met with Ibrahim Azizi to discuss bilateral affairs and confer on international issues.

Hon. Daniel Barima Koroma, Deputy Leader of the Opposition and Hon. Alpha Ben Mansaray, Member of Parliament from Moyamba District, comprised the rest of the Sierra Leonean delegation in this trip. Upon arrival in Tehran, the Sierra Leonean parliamentary delegation was welcomed by Mr. Nouri Qezeljeh, the esteemed Member of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
